epson replacement compatible cartridges & compatible chips
my sister has just got an epson all in one printer/scanner and she was checking out how much replacement ink cartridges would cost, the man in the shop quoted her £16.00 for two sets of compatible colour and black cartridges and this would include the compatible chips as he explained that you need compatible chips to clip onto your compatible cartridges to make them work and since the chips were reusable the compatible cartridges wouldn’t need new chips every time, she still thinks this is cheap, but I didn’t think that you needed compatible chips to make compatible cartridges work I thought that you just plugged them into the printer and they were ready to go, can anyone advise ??
The big money is in selling the replacement inks. That’s how the manufacturers sell the printers so cheaply.
To prevent people using crtridges that are not made by Epson, Epson put a chip on the cartridge.
You either need a cartridge that is chipped or you need to put a chip on one. Either way will have the same effect.
