Coil Off Disconnect
What is the best way to hook up my 12in l7 and zx550.x2?
I have 1 kicker l7 hooked up to my kicker zx 550 2ch with an epicenter. It worked fine for about a month and a half but then it started cutting out. If i played with my nobs a little on a longer trip I could get it to work right but who wants to have to do that. I took it to the shop and the guy acted like he knew the problem. he opened my box took one of my wires off the speaker ( I asume changing my ohm load or disconnecting a voice coil) and hooked it back up. since then I notice it doesnt hit as hard or go as low. but I havent had the problem with the amp cutting out. I am planning on running two l7 with a much larger amp but until then im stuck.
The speaker is 4ohm
Sounds as if the guy was right. Changing the impedance load may have been the only solution to keep the amp from going into protection.
What is a Slide Check? On/Off? Quick Disconnect? for a paintball remote coil/hose
