Core Knee

Snapping and Pain in the back of my knee…?
I’ve been taking Pilates and I absolutely love it! It’s really helped my back pain, and strengthened my core. My only problem is that there is one move that we do EVERY class, and I can’t do it with my right leg.
The move is as follows: I lie on my stomach, face down on the mat and to one side, then, keeping both legs straight, I lift them off the mat slightly. I don’t have any pain until I have to start bending one knee (it’s like a “kick” – bend, then straighten, then bend, then straighten…all while the legs are slightly lifted off the mat).
I can do it just fine with the left leg, but when I try the right leg, there is a snapping/clicking behind my right knee. I thought it might have been muscle soreness, so I massaged the back of my knee before working out…but it didn’t do anything. It is a painful snap, so I usually just skip that move….but I just want to know what the heck that is!
See your instructor he or she may be able to explain . Good luck
