What does this mean? Paintball?

what does all this mean for the gun? its a 2004 WGP pro stock:

Sounds like an Autococker. Yeah, a semi-automatic gun that operates on a closed bolt. So, the bolt is closed (a paintball is in the chamber) in typical operation. When you pull the trigger, the gun shoots the paintball, then the bolt goes backwards, a new paintball drops in, and the bolt closes the new paintball in. (* open bolt gun waits til the trigger is pulled before pushing the ball into the chamber and shooting it in one swift motion *)

“ram” and “3-way” are part of the system that’s operating the bolt moving back and forth. These guns were a bit more mechanically fancy than many others at the time. Regulators are there to help air pressure be regulated to a good level. coming out of a CO2 or high pressure air tank, the gas that propells the guns could be 400psi or 1100psi for example. Regulators help get things a bit more stable.

Beavertail is in the back where the bolt is moving in and out… “steel braided hose and bottomline” means the CO2 tank (or nitrogen/compressed air) attaches to the gun (or a stock of some kind does) at the bottom of the hand grip (vs. the top body of the gun) which is nice when you’re wearing goggles.

High flow bolt… well, these bolts were super easy to move in and out.

In a nutshell, this sounds like it has a fair amount of aftermarket materials on it. It’s likely a fairly mechanically demanding gun, but could be fun if you’re into that. If it’s your first paintball gun, I’d consider something more simple if you don’t have a local network of people to lean on and help explain some things.

If you love mechanical stuff and wanna go for it, then good luck. If it’s shooting it’s probably a nice piece of kit.
