Jersey Boys Tickets – Jersey Boys Sets Records In Florida
Where others have failed, Jersey Boys has succeeded. In the 2000s, many different musicals were created to commemorate the lives of music legends, and many were panned by critics. The exception was the award-winning musical Jersey Boys. The show debuted in 2005 and soon garnered rave reviews. That led to multiple Tony Awards among many other awards, including a Grammy Award. The accolades have only continued as the musical has launched a national tour.
The current tour set the box office record when the cast members traveled south to West Palm Beach. The tour had a run at the Kravis Center in March. After setting a box office record for the week ending on March 21, they broke their own record for the week ending on March 28. Their record-breaking week had a gross of $1,349,235. Jersey Boys tells the story of the music group the Four Seasons. The name of the musical comes from the members’ home state: New Jersey. The original members came from rough backgrounds and were getting involved with petty crime before they saw a way out through music. Their sound was buoyed by the falsetto voice of frontman Frankie Valli, and their catalyst to fame happened when Bob Gaudio came on board as a member and songwriter. The actors in Jersey Boys do an incredible job of giving the audience an inside look into the group dynamics. Below are details about a few of the stars.
Joseph Leo Bwarie takes on the role of Frankie Valli, who has remained the most famous member of the group. He first starred in Jersey Boys in the Las Vegas production, and he also originated the role of Chachi in Happy Days: A New Musical. Film fans may recognize him from his roles in films like The Princess Diaries 2, Race to Witch Mountain and Valentine’s Day.
Ryan Jessie appears in the show as Bob Gaudio. The Arizona native has a degree in Musical Theatre from the University of Northern Colorado. He has been in an international tour before as part of Cinderella and has also appeared regionally in Grey Gardens.
Matt Bailey plays the part of Matt Bailey. He hails from Northern California and has been on stages in New York in shows like Cinderella, The Most Happy Fella, Ghostbrothers of Darkland County, Mental and Night of the Hunter. His regional credits include shows like The Full Monty, Bat Boy and Hamlet.
Those who saw the original Broadway version of Jersey Boys may recognize Steve Gouveia. He appeared in Jersey Boys on Broadway and now has the role of Nick Massi in the touring production. His regional credits include Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story, Hair and The Collected Works of Billy the Kid. He is also a musician who has played with many legendary bands.
