What type of MTB frame geometry should I choose for off road expedition touring?
I am planning a month long bike tour in the Indian subcontinent. Roads are not good and I will also have to ride off road. I am planning to buy a bike for the trip. I am considering an MTB frame, fixed fork, drop bar, Shimano Deore LX components, 26inch wheel etc… Can anyone suggest me on the frame geometry and the coise of components or share their experience? Thanx in advance.

As for components, something strong and reliable, not necessarily top of the line. Choose drop bars with bar end shifters, more reliable than anything else
