Paintball Smart parts Ion board problem! Any way I can fix it?
I have an Ion. Recently I was installing a Qev, and worked fine. When I was reassembling the marker, I noticed that the red wire on the battery adapter thing was not attached to the board. There was a black one and a red one. The black one was attached, but the red one wasnt. Is there any way I can saughter it back on the board?

That can be fixed… call Smart Parts and sent it to them.
Here are a few tips:
1. Don’t try to fix it yourself. Some people will try to solder the board and overheat it… they end up causing more damage and possibly voiding their warranty. They also get solder onto other components on the board and short it out… bottomline – unless you are a hardware tech, send it back to them. They have to fix it for free if you gun is less than 1 year old.
2. On board issues, you don’t need to send them the entire gun. Just pop the board out of your marker and send it in. Make sure you mail it to them package in clean, lint and moisture free packaging. Stables, Office Max etc… sell electronic baggies. They are dust and static free. Make sure you package it safely… shipping companies can be harsh.
3. Go to Smart Parts website and request an RMA. It takes only a few seconds. This logs the return in their system, so they know what the issue is when they get. They will not have to depend on reading your handwriting.
Beautiful thing is that turn-around time is normally 24-48 hours. They get them in and back out in no time!
