what metals are in old electric meters?
So my folks have several cabins they rent out. All of them have our own personally owned electric meters and they feed off one main meter (that way we know how much power everyone is using) we just upgraded all the meters to newer meters. I want to scrap them but i had a guy tell me there is copper, aluminum, gold and even platinum in the old meters. i search online but can not find anything. IF there is where can i find these metals in the meter??
Mostly copper and steel with the disk being aluminum. slight possibility of very thin gold on some contacts and platinum should be impossible.
