Proto Slg Basic
what barel and feed neck bring out the best performance out of a proto slg basic 09?
I want to know what upgrades for the barel and feed neck would be cost effective and brings out best performance!
The stock barrel is pretty good. It seems to be the same as the most of the other dye barrels made and it is a great barrel but its only 11″ where a 14″ would work better. One of the best barrels you can get is a two part cp barrel with a bore size of .685 or .683 since paint is being made smaller. Or the step up from a cp barrel would be a full barrel kit like the freak kit with a 14″ barrel tip. You can get a full freak kit for about $130 new. Or get a freak jr. kit for $80. Difference between the freak and freak jr is the jr doesn’t come with all the bore sleeves only comes with like 3 or 4. While a full freak kit has 8 bore sleeves.
The slg 09 should have a clamping feedneck. You don’t need any other feedneck besides what it comes with. You can change it out but it wont do anything different unless you want a metal feedneck so that you can make it clam a lil tighter. cp makes a feedneck for it that works great with blowback vents.
