Is the CCI Phantom Stock Class Pump Marker a Good Paintball Gun?
I was thinking of getting a Stock Class, Black and Purple acid wash Phantom for 230$. That sound good?
Pretty good price for an essentially custom Phantom (colors like that need to be ordered like that – stores only get black).
Phantoms are great pumps. Well-made, highly customizable (stock class, open class, right feed, left feed, center feed, traditional pump handle around the barrel or undercocking so its under the barrel, etc).
Stock class takes time to get used to, though. If you’re new to paintball, it won’t take as long, but for someone like me who had never used stock class pumps til recently, it’s a big change. You use 12gram co2 cartridges instead of tanks, and you use 10 rd tubes instead of 100-140 rd pods because stock class markers have a stick feed that only holds 10-15 balls. Brings paintball back to its roots, where it was one shot one kill, all precision tactics, and every player on the field was aggressive.
