Razor Compact

Best way to cruise around a college campus? Longboards or Razor scooters?
I go to a medium size campus and I want to get some wheels to help me cruise around faster, walking is too slow and boring for me. I see a lot of Longboarders, skateboards and razor scooters. I am wondering if longboards are a good option? I know how to skateboard but never have longboarded, longboarders make going uphill look easy. There is a lot of uphill slopes-not too steep though. I also see people cruising by on those Razor scooters-they seem compact and cool also. I don’t live on campus so I can’t use a bike, i need something that is compact and I can take with me everywhere, like putting it in my car and taking it into class without many people noticing. So what’s probably best-Longboard-skateboard-Razor, and why? Thanks.
Go for a cruiser board. They are longer than a regular skateboard, but are shorter than a traditional longboard, so it will fit in your car easier. Cruisers are about 36-42′ in length and the width can vary from 8.5″ to 10″ They have a kicktail to ollie up a curb or over an obstacle. Krooked, Surf-One, Sector 9, Dog Town, Deathbox are some of the companies that make cruiser boards.
My choice for transportation is my Santa Cruz 5 ply mini cruiser. I outfitted it with Indy Stage 9 mid trucks, OG Santa Cruz Road Rider 70mm 78a red wheels Ricta ABEC 7 bearings (Sent to me to demo, ride Pig Swiss) The setup is a little shorter than a standard street deck, but the wide trucks and big wheels make it very stable and it goes over most cracks and holes without problems.
Skip the Razor scooters. I’ve rarely seen any one other than kids ride them, and have never seen any on college campuses.
