What does changing the Velocity of Paintball Marker do? And..?

I have a smart parts vibe, when i shot it, it froze up literally and air leaked out. is it because of velocity?
it leaked air out of the whole gun.
I used a 20oz Co2 Tank

Changing the velocity will affect how the paintball fly’s, it’s speed and accuracy. Most fields allow a max velocity of 280 or 300 feet/second. Each marker/paintball has its sweet spot that you have to find by shooting with it.

The leak was most likely caused by a broken O-Ring or a loose screw on the marker. The O-Ring on the CO2 tank could also be broken; they have a tendency to break easily because the CO2 tank gets really cold and can freeze them if you shoot a lot. It’s hard to tell what exactly the problem is without seeing the marker. The leak could also be coming from your regulator, a broken O-Ring in there or other issue.
